We loved this conversation with Melissa Spoelstra: Bible teacher, and author who is passionate about helping others to seek Christ and know Him more intimately. Growing up, Melissa often walked away from church with the message that she needed to “be really good.” It wasn’t until she truly understood the Gospel that she realized the good news isn’t about striving in our own strength, it’s about Jesus and His finished work on the cross. We don’t have to strive, we just have to believe.
We talk about how easily we drift into self-reliance when problems arise, instead of turning back to God in quietness and confidence.
